Students of the Tamale Technical University have released a week’s notice to the management of the school to fix the inadequate furniture situation the school is facing in the various lecture halls, else they will boycott lectures.
A statement signed by the Secretary of the school’s Students Representative Council (SRC) Secretary, Sayibu Mohammed Awal, insisted that there has been series of engagements with the university’s management about the inadequate furniture at most lecture halls.
But the SRC bewailed that nothing has since been done to settle the issue.
“Students and SRC would have no other alternative than to boycott lectures if this problem of inadequate furniture at the various lecture halls is not addressed within a week.”
From the SRC, the inadequate furniture in most lecture halls is the biggest challenge students experience in the university as a result of this, most students stand or seat on floors during lectures .
“We, therefore, plead with management to consider this as an emergency and take steps to solve the inadequate furniture challenges.”
